suffering drapes like suggestion
this journey
roaming somewhere

keeping
eyes heaven bound
beyond shards of obliging
the spirit escapes

from the confusion

ethereal visitation emerges
like waves wetting
the sapphire from the blue

until we see
the thoughtfulness

of words

words that

thaw a frozen heart

words that

yield to temptation

words that
are the enticements of a trembling lip

feel like sensitive fingertips

words that
cause shallow breaths

are faint echoes
then rush to silence

in the distance
the prelude reveals

live in fragility

syllables intricate

with
lunacy
passion
