just as it is darkest before the dawn
affecting an echo of that chaste night
one day in the earliest moments of first light
not a cloud in sight
as the stars lost their light
I saw a clear sky in such stillness
the full moon fell full to the west
the new day sun rose in the east
prized harmony more touching than words
singing now all the multitudes of life
both imply that they know they are in my eye
in an unattainable, unconcealed manner
soaring blue of summer as purple hue drops away
a home for the forsaken morning dove to pursue
