We, from the day we were born
Have always had a curse
The curse is not to be blind or deaf
But something awfully worse
We've birthed a monster inside of us
From our very first words
It's grown all throughout our years
Bound us together in chords
It radiates heat and evil
Growing all the time
Every time we glance at someone
We commit a crime
The monster grows and burns
Making us feel sour
It gets bigger and meaner every second every hour
We won't ever see it literally, never with our eyes
But the feriocity shines throughout our actions and our lies
It takes a lot of bravery to bury the monster under you
But none of us ever try because it's just easier not to
Instead we wait for a hero, someone brave and strong
But we'll be waiting forever because your expectations are wrong
You will see strong people but they can't slay your beast
You have to conquer the monster yourself the one you'd expect the least
They can encourage you and tell you it'll be alright
But you have to be the one, you have to win the fight
If you want proof, you'll have to take my word
Because the only thing anyone can ever do for you, is hand you the sword
