So long have my days been
I can't find the perfect words to give you
For you are too beautiful
to be placed in a poem
While my days are so impossible,
I feel tomorrow, so hopeful
when you're asleep beside me
As you lay in the quietness,
I sneak in to hug you, wrapped in love
In my heart, I can pretend
you are my baby in disguise
Forgetting my broken heart
as I hold you
I long to fly alongside you,
with angels in your dreams
A world so filled with chaos
Very little trees for children to climb
No longer innocence in these streets
But you are an angel among
this withering Earth
Bring back light in this world,
little Adam
So I can give you this broken piece
of the little heart I have left,
cure it and bring me home again
