-heartbeat-

after
so many
yesterdays.
i awake
dare not look
feeling
sadness
a sense
of waste .

why was i gone?

you arrive...
i
know you,
my distant
dream...
my heart,
love,
wonder,
precious,
carefree,
running,
playing,
childish
laughter.
i smile
lost
in your innocence
your mystery

your
great
beauty
smiles.
sweet
kind
pretty
considerate.
you are
the sun
and nightingale
you
make
my heart sing,
my
perpetual desire
you are
my everything...
breath
light
heartbeat.

the world
opens up
and says
take ..
its all yours

you say
you are
dying

NO....!

please
i need you...
i want you.
without
you
my world
is
meaningless.
i can't
lose you

i
don't
want
to sleep

your pain,
i feel
if you could
i know
you would
if it must be...
if it must...
i understand
enter
my heart
your heart
our home
hold
my hand
live in me
know
i will
love you
forever

I love this...

How very romantic...

This was written from the heart... She is a lucky one to have waken such kind of love in you... I sense that you don't love freely and easily. I pray you will  savor your forever with her. This poem humbles my thoughts because you see, like you,-- I have been asleep for years by choice too... Recently, I woke , to see brighter colors influenced by a love that happened unheeded... This poem inspires in me, another poem in my head with these lines :

Asleep

I was content
embracing the comforts
of slumber...
Careless
to rising suns
I watched alone...
My sunsets
sometimes
grips my heart with
 longings ,
to enjoy
with someone special
the last lights
give way to
darkness...
Too many
years gone
 with nothing
 real
to feel...
But looking back now,
I won't regret
the years
gone wasted...
Because my
dearest love,
all along,
my heart was
sleeping
and waiting...
to wake
just for  you...

Well, the idea is something like that... Thank you for the inspiration 1st Light!
