Oh Iraq
What a beautiful place
Where people beg for money
And throw rocks at your face…
Oh Iraq
I am SO glad we came
But I do have one question
Do any of you know how to bathe???

A third world paradise
With palm trees and sand dunes
Doesn’t it sound oh so nice???
Oh Iraq
You shoot at us from the roof
We captured Saddam
What else do you need for proof???
Don’t get me wrong
I completely understand
The trash in the streets
And all this fucking sand
Ok, screw Iraq
My heart and soul remains in the States
Please God keep us safe
And bring us home before it’s too late…
It seems this poem shows the reality of what you guys see. I can fully understand your feeling here, i get this alot from my other friends out there.
I'm going to send this to some people I know who are military. This is the funniest Ode I've read.
hey, so i figured since you commented on my page should do so on yours...i have a couple friends who have been and are about to be deployed to iraq, so this was really cool to read. a way different outlet to talk about it than i'm used to so I appreciated it alot. *hug* ;)
