Down Memory Lane!

Down Memory Lane

As i walk down thru the years and see all i ever did face
At the age of ten to bullies in school I sure did feel out of place
Try as hard as i could to avoid walking thru that bad plain
I'm drawn to it like a moth to a flame right Down Memory Lane
As i dig my heels in to the dirt to avoid being pushed ahead
I realize its a losing battle and with fear in my eyes I plead
I feel like I'm going backwards to a past of hard times and pain
The more I walk on that path the more I stumble Down Memory Lane
Every step brings me closer to those memories I've locked away
Those locked memories are hidden there to keep the evil at bay
Someday when I'm healed enough I can release them with out any strain
And really be free with out fear and smile when i go Down Memory Lane

Author's Notes/Comments:

Sometimes memory lanes a path you never want to go down or relive because the real raw pain there in the center of a past so broken you feel like your

literaly going to be stuck there and your feet are going to take root but i once saw a saying on facebook thar read you can visit the past but dont put down roots you dont live there anymore!!! thats not word for word but thats what it meantand i try to look at my past and present like that hope you like this poem
