I woke up this morning,

And left you alone.

You called all around town,

But got nothing but D*tone.

Now it makes me wonder,

What you want with me now.

Because, you see,

I live in a foggy cloud.



I don't understand,

How I affected you so.

Forget the things I've done.

Please let them go.

There may be no tomorrow,

So don't worry about today.

Take some time to yourself.

Let your mind drift away.



Why honor me so?

I was only following that code.

For respect is mutual,

And solid as gold.

Yet you're knelt on my floor,

With a box in your hand.

And now you recite to me,

Our life's plan.



I don't understand,

Now I stand here wearing,

This beautiful gown.

You're standing at the altar,

Like a king with his crown.

I keep wondering,

Why I'd said, "Yes."

It was your impression of me,

And vice versa, I guess.



Now are children are grown.

And I STILL don't understand,

How I affected you so.

Won't you please let them go?

So let's live for today.
