Old poetry of you by me
Do we ever re read and feel
Those old feelings brought back to life
Like the best kiss you've ever had
The cold on your face
The trembling of your hands
Maybe your heart skipped a beat
Then you wrote it for me
Called me your everything
And how you remembered the songs we would sing
Now we switch roles
I become you
Here remembering the things I did to you
The truth because you were worth more than lies
The lies I told to the others
But when I got to your eyes
I saw myself
What a feeling I felt
To hold you
To hold me
To know this was everything
But the timing way off
And the distance to far
When I was in your heart
I was so gone
And when you were in mine
You married a man
