This heart beating inside me is beating so hard I can hardly think
And, somehow I believe this is how it's meant to be
To love so big it hurts from the need to get out
And, spread itself onto the one's who surround me
And, give until the the need for receiving
Is second to the need and desire for giving

I'm alive
I'm alive
I'm alive and this is my one chance to love
And, be loved by my love's returning

Caveats are easy to take hold when you don't know what is true
So you run and run and tell yourself it's okay to pick and choose
Who to offer your hand or cheek to
But, with something so profound as life
It's no wonder how the mystery of love can confound the mind
Rinse it down with or watch it rise above the heavy load

To love should be my goal
To love should be my whole life
My whole desire
My healer, my hope, my guide
My courage, my strength, my sight
