Gray turning pink
As the morning sun peaks above
A land far away
A sky so beautiful
I hope the star never fully breaks the canopy
I’ve been content before
But, never in this way
No, never this way before
I can hear something speak
An artist rendering a masterpiece
Never so fully inspired
To reach deeper in order to reach higher
In order to finally feel a soul as something real
I’ve been content before
But, never in this way
No, never this way before
Innocence is the one thing I’ve truly been searching for
But, that desire for innocence steals its’ very meaning away
Because, innocence doesn’t know any other name
And, you can’t seek purity without first knowing pain
And, all I know is…
I’ve been content before
But, never in this way
No, never this way before
