No Other Would Dare To

You said you’d always miss me

But, there you went forgot, forget me

And now this candle burns softly

Both ends on fire burn quickly

The way we would run

Full speed into the other’s arms

But, those days are gone

And, so is the sun

You looked so perfect in that dress with the sun shining through

The first day I saw, I knew I met the one who no other could compare to

The one, no other would dare to

The day that you left, it was calling my name

My closest companion, the cold winter rain

Numbing my fingers, stealing my pain

Turning the sky into the darkest of days

But, I will not forget my eyes

Or, forbid them from sight

For, they still bring me light

Even now that I’m blind

And, I believe that time will heal all things according to time’s own will

And, I believe that I will experience time’s healing hand

Even if it kills me before I’m healed again

Walking along, there from the tree

I noticed it sprouting, the birth of a seed

Planted there firmly in the roots of belief

Tenderly sheltered by a mother-to-be

In patient anticipation

Of the turning of season

To see her creation

Grow fruitful near her basin

It looked so perfect in that tender state with the sun shining through

With leaves so fragile and new, I knew I’d seen a love no other could compare to

A love, no other would dare to

And, I believe that time will heal all things according to time’s own will

And, I believe in love above all else like no other would dare to
