Your eyes turn away

Peer into the infinite abyss of earthly space

As if I wouldn't notice the turning of a smile

And the turning of color surrounding your heart

And the cold as your soul drifted miles away



You're weaker than I thought

And rely on insecurity more than I could've imagined

So, now, what's it going to be

Should I save or push you overboard

And make you the captain that caught the hook

Instead of the fish intended to bleed

Drag you in fighting

Without thinking a single negative consequence

Of what holding you in the net would truly mean
