So it seems I've been reading the same thing

How people are impressed with the whole Christian thing

And they say they wish that they had the same faith

While at the same time, do nothing to escape their pain

For me it' not to impress anyone

He's just who I was brought up to love



Can you relate with me

Cause there's no debate you see

That this life is pointless without God

That even the smartest can be wrong

And even the most devoted may not be strong

This life is so pointless without God



And you read my words but you may not see their point

Well to tell the truth, sometimes it's hard to me too

His love is great, but His works may be small

But even in His smallest gifts, He gives love to all

For Him it's not to impress anyone

We're just who He created out of love



I'm not here to stand idily

Because He tells us to go preach

Even when home feels so out of reach

He's by our side to love and teach us how to live

But more importantly how to love



Faith, Hope, and Love are some good things He gave us

But the greatest is Love



Just for a moment reflect on your life

And I don't care if you've been wrong or right

Because in His eyes we're all the same

Don't you know we're all blinded and all lame

Without the presence of His Holy Name



I'm not here to stand idily

Because He tells us to go preach His word

Because He tells us to go preach His love
