About the ways that I hurt

I've put too much time and effort

Into trying to make you see

That what you do kills me

That what you do fills me

With an anger of a lesser man



This is the point of forgiveness

You know there's been a lack of

I'm not the one I was before

The past I've shut behind the door

I know there's gotta be so much more

Than trying to be there for you

Then hearing the words 'we're through'

Then hearing the words 'it's true'

The best of friends are the worst
