Strength has always been what lacks

A lesson I learned when I was young

I've never been good at goodbyes

But could it be I've never said hello

Or gazed daily into someone's eyes

Yesterday is a day that I miss



What if tomorrow when I awake

I find nothing's the same

And I somehow have strength

What if tonight was the end

I died with it all held in

And I somehow didn't begin

What if tomorrow brought change

But what if tomorrow never came



On this floor I lie broken and cold

A forgotten child tossed away

Scattered pieces drift so far

When there's nothing to believe in

Tearing an open wound and a scar
