In a crowd he's the faceless stranger

Wondering if there's someone right or if he's wrong

But there's a burning desire to become more

To let his walls fall to the floor

And on his knees he speaks these words



I know I'm not the only one

But tonight I need a sign

The way I've lived has been so wrong

Just tell me where I will belong

In this world, In Your Word

It's a solemn reminder of what he's done

The scar that's left when the war is won

And he knows the regrets he holds inside

But in the moment of truth he lets them slide

And in his heart he speaks these words
