Having one's words twisted beyond recognition, 

   turned around and used as ammunition 

It's enough to make a person go silent 

And then of course to be blamed, shamed 

   & criticized for not engaging 

Well that is more than enough to

    make a person go mad and sequester forever, 

      from everything
