I was watching tv/ I saw bloody violence/ just there/ for the kids to see/ for the baby’s to watch/ they’re cursing/ and acting stupid/ it’s no wonder/ our youth is cursed/ it’s no wonder/ the youth is doing the same damn thing/ thinking about fighting/ cursing everyone out/ thinking they’re so bad/ it’s cool to end up in jail/ to be handcuffed and searched/ by the feds/ to ride in the cars/ with sirens blaring loud/ or rather just act it/ just act tough/ like you don’t care/ about the future/ but the past hurts/ you don’t even try/ to live your life/ you call me a hypocrite/ but why? / I try/ I’m living aren’t i?/ yeah, I used to cut/ but not anymore/ don’t say nobody cares/ cuz look all around/ people care/ that’s what I found out/ so try not to be/ just like those on tv/ just be yourself/ that’s all I’m asking of you/ don’t try suicide/ it’s not the right thing to do/ face your problems/ tell your friends/ it helps/ to have someone there/ if no one’s there?/ come to me/ I’ll help you through it/ as best I can/ I went through it to/ still am../ it’s hard n’ it’s painful/ it’s everyday life/ and we can get through it/ together..
