The One Parent:



my mom always asks/ what’s wrong with me/ she yells at me/ for not being perfect/ she fights with me/ just for fun/ embarrasses me/ in front of a crowd/ she tells me/ I’m stupid/ she calls me crazy/ she says I’m dead/ I’m bitter/ well I gotta say / it’s hard not to be/ to grow up/ yelled at/ smacked at/ so yeah/ I am bitter/ yeah/ I wish I was dead/ can you blame me? / I’m not perfect/ no one is/ and yet you criticize me/ for not being what you want me to be/ you make me feel so low/ so low, that I feel nothing but anger/ it doesn’t hurt when I bleed/ cuz a fire’s in my eyes/ hatred has reached it’s maximum/ when I talk to my sister/ I find myself/ acting like you/ yelling at her/ for no apparent reason/ I calm myself down/ I’m becoming like you/ I need to find a way/ to let you go/ I need to get rid of you/ out of my head/ just go away/ cuz I don’t want to end up / just like you…
