WRITTEN FOR "LIL LOUIE"

LIL LOUIE'S' MEMORIES ~+~ of Spot~+~



Lil Louie, with spot by his side,

walking to the creek, his lil heart full of pride.

Never went anywhere without that dog in sight,

fixed up his cane pole, hoping them there fish,

wouldn't put up a fight.



Wagging his tail, spot following Louie's lead,

through the briars, and over the logs , them fish

they gotta feed,

Worms in one hand, pole in the other, and a smile upon his face,

Lil Louie kicking his shoes off at the first sight of the creek,

running as fast as he can, sitting with feet in the water, and Spot licking his cheek.



Cool water running through his toes, sun shining on his nose,

oops that one got away, and there he goes.

Lil Louie's heart racing faster than them skeeters flying around,

this is life for Lil Louie, no work to be found.



One fish in the bucket, now there's two,

we keep catchin' em' like this Spot, there'll even

be enough for you!

Before long the bucket is half full, enough for dinner I would say,

race you back to the farm! Bucket in hand, pole in the other and a smile upon his face, Lil Louie and Spot began the race.



Up on the ole poarch his little feet did jump,

I beat ya, I beat ya!! As his little heart did thump.

Mamma in the kitchen, puttin' wood in the stove,

Lil Louie out back. making more memories, rollin' round

in the Cloves.
