IT IS MY HEART, TO YOU MY ANGEL, THAT I GIVE
Written for my lovely daughter's, my angel's, my life.
Tear's fill these eye's as I watch you grow,
becoming a young lady, as through life you go.
Knowing in my heart that one day you wll leave home,
but my angel, you will never walk alone.
The day will come when I have to let go of your hand,
it is then that I will place your life in God's hand.
I will hold you in my heart, and guide you through,
but God will hold your sweet hand so tightly,
he will walk beside you.
My wisdom I have instilled from the day God sent you to me,
the moral's, I planted deep in your heart, hoping you keep
them close to thee. I know you will never fail along life's way,
for God and I will alway's be there beside you each and every day.
I have never been more proud in all of my year's, as I am each time
I watch you spread your wing's for a new flight, facing life's fear's.
So wise you have become with each turn on life's pathway,
knowing I am right there with you, come what may.
Letting go of your hand, but forever holding your heart,
I knew we would have to face this day right from the start.
I just didn't know the tear's would continue to flow,
I never imagined the day, that your hand I would have to let go,
I just didn't know.
But it is forever in my heart that you will remain,
I will alway's do all I can, to keep you safe from life's pain.
It is in your heart that my word's will alway's live,
it is my heart, to you my angel, that I give.
