One Selfish Bee

The bee was worried for this rumor she heard, that our living planet was coming to its end. She then began to wonder all what she had to lose, for which she sudden realize she had nothing but screws. Poor little working bee had no friends or family to see, she dedicated her whole life to work, that next to her was no other bee. A day gone by and this bee couldn’t have a sleep, for all that she could think of was what she couldn’t keep.
For many years this loner bee worked hard enough to be the chief, but never preoccupied to spare the time to find a crew to share her life. When she was little and at the honeycomb she had a family to relay, a trustworthy home. As she grew older bitterness full-filled her soul and selfishly she accomplished all goals. Success was this bee’s middle name for which she worked so hard to get the fame. Tired of her family, who she thought were all incompetent, this little bee left her home without complement. She build her life on her own, always selfish and without thinking she was alone. When she heard she was at the wit world’s end, flashbacks of her life ran up all over her eyes.
So sad and so desperate the bee flew from work to home, and in her way at the lonely road she found herself bumping with a toad.
“Can’t you see the road? What’s wrong with you stupid toad?”
“I’m sorry little bee, but this isn’t how is supposed to be”, replied the angry toad.
“I can’t tell what you mean, maybe if you explained to me...”
“This isn’t your road, you fly above, I jump here below”
“Who you think you are to say it’s not my road, besides you jumped too high”, she bee implied.
“My God, the world is ending and you still are not friendly”, judge the toad.
They both continued their ways, but these last words left the bee so thoughtfully scared. She realized the toad was right and knew she didn’t act the way she might. Next day, same time, once again, they bumped at ten. The bee had no bad reaction, there she intended to apologize for her past action. She stopped the toad so they could talk, but this time the toad was mad. The bee flew behind the toad, trying to explain she was sorry for all. Then she implied all she wanted was a friend to cry, for all she knew the world was close one day to die, but the toad kept jumping high.
“You know, you were selfish all your life, and I’ve watched you destroy yourself alive. I thought of giving you an opportunity to change before you die, but you couldn’t change the fact that you’re bad”, the jumping toad replied.
The world came to its end and those were the last words the bee heard. She got many chances to change and even at her very end, she left all opportunities shelled.
