Analyze the Attachment

Attachment, pulling you back into the comfort zone

A road with no caution signs, no treacherous curves to navigate

The forecast predicts no storms, all sunshine, all nice blue skies.

It is calm here. Isn't it perfect?

(Oh, what a perfect world-

A world full of doubt, and almost perfectly meaningless.

Fuck me till I'm numb,

Fuck me till I'm convinced.

Better yet, fuck me to the screaming climax of apathy.

Pass me the pills and turn up the beats.

We can make this place our home.)

Suddenly, a drop of water appears upon the Bible in your lap

The book whose pages your eyes have been scanning

without comprehension.

The book everyone says will soothe your unnecessary questions.

Looking to the sky, you see the weatherman is correct - no rain here.

The water is your eye's salty indication that something is missing.

Where is the fulfillment in this empty box?

The exhilaration? The mind-blowing connection you've touched before?

Is it worth it,

Remaining just to avoid the solitude?

Let the tears fall, and let them serve as motivation.

Jump headfirst into the unknown,

Discover what awaits you.

Whatever you do, don't allow the habitual gravity to win.

Push on for something better.
