I can never find you with me,

you never even notice.
We’re slipping away,
our love floating on the breeze.
When I’m dying inside,
you never see it,
when I try to speak from my heart,

So many fights,
I forgive you,
swallow my words.
When I’m crying,
you never see my tears,
don’t notice the pain you cause.
When I try to reach for you,
you slip away,
dancing farther from my grasp.
Trying to hold you,
but you keep falling away.
When I lie and say I’m okay,
you swallow my lies,
not knowing I’m crying inside.
When I’m alone and bleeding,
you leave me here,
surrounded by ghosts,
trapped among shadows.
I’ve tried to stay,
but now you don’t even notice,
when I turn to walk away.
