The phone was ringing

My heart stopped

It had to be a dream

No way could you be gone

My first love

Never to hear your voice again

See your face

Was the pain that great

Did I do something wrong

Hiding my love deep in the corners of my soul

But was it ever enough

Oh so many times I wanted to say it

But my mouth never opened

So here I sit today

Tears falling

Soul aching

Wondering why

Could I have stopped you

Would you have listened to me

Answer me!!!
