Apparent happiness a lie.
Oncoming sorrow seems like nothing new,
Enthusiasm is quick to die.
Animosity sparks ablaze,
Reason engulfed in flame.
Self control is lost in a haze,
The temper no longer tame.
Searing pain brings you to reality,
The haze disappearing at last.
Regret extinguishes the coals of enmity,
