The Christian's Hope is not simply just wishful thinking my friend,
But, a solid certainty revealed to us by God in regards to the end.
This Hope includes also a special peace here upon earth my friend,
To help us deal with the time upon earth that we have left to spend.
It is finished, was His cry, as The Lord Jesus died upon the cross,
For that day complete Salvation for the entire world He had wrought.
He said let not your hearts be troubled, trust in God and also in me,
For I go to prepare a place for you, so where I am, you can also be.
Christ for us provided complete redemption, as He died upon a tree,
And the price He paid in full, with His own Blood, for you and me.
My works are like rags in God's eyes, so Christ alone paid the price,
And like the thief on the cross when I die, I too will be in Paradise.
My friend, for all who believe in Jesus, Eternal Life has been given,
For Christ is not the god of the dead, but the God of all the living.
Although He died, He rose again and today is seated upon His throne,
Up in His Father's House where, for us, He prepared an Eternal Home.
For Salvation is a gift of God, but it's something you must receive,
And the only effort comes from your heart as you accept and believe.
He is our Blessed Hope, who will deliver us from this day of strife,
And God wrote these things so that we may know we have Eternal Life.
