THE GREATEST FEAR
(T. Beechey)
The greatest fear is to feel the cold
Amidst beams of gold with no hand to hold
The greatest fear is to not be told
There's such a thing as love
The greatest fear is being alone
Remaining unknown,staying ungrown
The greatest fear is not being shown
There's such a thing as love
An elusive dream,my reclusive soul
I just cannot seem to fill the role
Lest I choose to wear some sort of disguise
But then I'd be rare to my own eyes
The greatest fear is to be set free
In a reality which includes just me
The greatest fear is never to see
There's such a thing as love
The greatest fear is to seek in vain
For something so plain, yet hidden by pain
The greatest fear is the echoed refrain:
"There's such a thing as love"
My reclusive soul,this exclusive world
Into a ball I roll and now I am curled
Upon the floor and here I'll stay
Forevermore and a day
The greatest fear is being left behind
Without peace of mind as the years unwind
The greastest fear is never to find
There's such a thing as love
The greatest fear is wondering why
It was always I that got passed by
The greatest fear's finding,just as I die...
There was such a thing as love
