Miscellanious Lost….mind blurred with agony
Can’t seem to find the light…..
And where is she?
Open wounds spill scarlet liquid,
Stain her new dress and shoes.
So much pain!
Where does it come from?
Her head aches
Her face covered in scratches.
The smell of dirt and fallen leaves
Flow into her senses…..
Suffocating…..dark…..lost
Who did this to her?
She remembered playing in the park.
She met a man,
With a strange smile and big hands.
“Follow me,” he had said…..
“Let’s play hide and seek.”
She was running….tripped on a rock.
Where was she now?
Why so much PAIN??
As she succumbs to the dark she thinks,
No one could ever know such pain as I.
Light peeks in,
She opens her swollen eyes.
Masked beings loom over her form,
Eyes so worried or blank.
When she gasps they cheer;
Another life saved……
But didn’t they know?
The pain still grasped this girl?
Inside deep, a shattered rib?
The blood from her heart just pours
And no one but her knows,
She wants to breath,
To scream, but no sound leaves her throat.
On her blood she chokes,
And now all are gone.
Don’t they know?
Again the dark returns…..
Terror….Why?
Hurt….Why?
The tears fall from her bruised eyes.
She drowns then…..on blood and her love.
What innocence shattered….along with a life.
As she falls into forever she thinks,
No one could ever know such pain as I.
Down the hall, a young man hears all;
The sound of a mother’s crying
For her dear little girl.
This man tries to block it out,
Stays in his own cage.
He has lost his family…..his sight;
Trapped in the dark.
How can he live?
His life was wasted in an instant,
An explosion of shock and tragedy.
As the mother cries, he thinks to himself,
No one could ever know such pain as I.
