Voices whispering in your ears
Dreams conjuring thoughts of fears
The pain and joy over the years
The fight to hold back the tears
And what I am supposed to do
I got visions of a life bigger than me
Visions of a life better than you
Drama and success both take me through
Winding roads under troubled bridges
Valleys low under towering ridges
Almost to too tall to reach for
Just high enough to dive off of
A plunge deep enough to go forever
Shallow enough to end right before never
Never now and never then
If not right now, then right when
Waiting today to see what tomorrow brings
Waiting for tonight to bring better dreams
Waiting for the magic to happen
Waiting for something to make me happy.
