Our little crush
has been put out,
has been ended.
It's a terminated crush.

We laughed at each other,
we laughed with each other.
We chatted for hours,
or chatted for minutes.

We got close
after just a few days,
and got closer,
as the time went on.

But now,
it's time for the crush
to end between us.
It's not going anywhere.

It's stuck in the same place,
unable to go further,
so, for both our sakes,
we're terminating the crush.

But we'll still be friends,
we'll still stay close,
we won't let the detail
of not crushing on one another,

come in between us.
You're my friend,
a good friend at that,
I won't let anything come between us!
