Bigger Picture
I'm the star in my own dreams,
and I'm the first to put myself first,
and one of my vices is knowledge
and I only ever have a craving or a thirst.
People have hurt my (is it?) heart,
and showed me that I'm human.
I've hurt people in return,
and that ignites my fire, I'm burning.
So when another shoots me down,
I've got all the amo I need,
I have a likeness to having stacks of money,
and I work to feed this greed.
I look to the bigger picture,
What is in it for me?
Whatever I want to become,
I know I can grow to be,
Making myself better so I can stand taller,
and walk over anything that gets in my way
if my life is too selfish for you
I'm not asking you to stay.
