Another Saturday night, I've begun poems this way before,
Nothing new, invisible pleasures please send me more,
Like one of these weekends will be different, go to sleep and not be reborn,
Refresh that inbox button, each click pitifully witnesses me mourn,
It's the same ol' 'round these parts, checkout on a red-eye flight,
Losing to boredom, goddamn you all as again I die tonight,
Let me barter for some soothing, time and emotion - for none are freebies,
We all say we care, but in fact such a feeling is an endangered species,
I'm not worth it, not worth from me what she's gained,
If only I could choose again, not so little would have remained...
