I am scared to dream
But not because I fear the scream
It is because you will be there
With your beauty and all your care
But when I awake, this will not be
For you will not be lying next to me
You will be some where far away
So even if I reach out from where I lay
I can not touch my goddess of the night
But I will continue on with my fight
For the fear is not to strong
And can only last so long
For when I see your face in that dream
It is a beauty, oh so serene
And if you are not there when I wake
In my dreams, I will cherish every moment I can take
