There once was a gal named Valerie

Worked in SoHo in an art gallery 

There, she loved being employed 

But she'd get annoyed 

Because she'd get paid such a low salary 

Valerie asked her boss for a raise 

Was told 'Can't afford it, these days

All my costs, they are rising 

So it's not surprising 

To tell you Valerie, the same your salary stays'

Valerie thought a great deal about it 

Then began to have great doubt about it 

Was thinking to shoot her boss dead 

With two shots to the head 

Decided life imprisonment, didn't want, so fuhgeddaboudit!
