There once was a woman named Ruth
Who was born and grew up in Duluth
Which she decided to leave and
Relocated to Cleveland
Was looking for a husband, that's the truth
Started dating a compulsive liar named Gus
To cover for his lies always made a fuss
Soon enough, they stopped dating
All his lies, Ruth was hating
'Why'd he tell me he's from Dayton? He's from Columbus!'
At her local pool Ruth met a lifeguard Joe
She knew Joe was the one, how'd she know?
Ruth said 'Holy Toledo!
Did you see him in his Speedo?
Joe's the kind of man I really need, oh!'
