Did you hear what happened? Sounds strange to me
Happened downtown at the widget factory
A man whose job it was to watch and oversee
All aspects of widget production was fired, why was he?
He missed a lot of things he should've noticed, see
Which meant defective widgets were sold, unfortunately
He was so apologetic, kept saying 'l'm so sorry
It was an oversight, please don't get rid of me'
The factory owner told him 'What you did wasn't right
You caused me to lose customers, this should never be'
So he got hired to oversee, but got fired for an oversight?
Does that sound right to you? It sure as hell doesn't to me!
