I knew a young man named Perry

Who broke up with his longtime love Sherry 

Any thoughts to harm himself? He?

Decided to enlist in the Army

Spent the next few years in the military 

While stationed in South Korea

Perry had bad diarrhea 

Was he happy about that? Not very 

It's not pleasant to have dysentery

Took him a month to recover, what I hear

It was a sad ending for Perry

A year later came down with beriberi

He said 'In a week, I'll be feeling great, will'

He didn't, the beriberi proved to be fatal 

There was nothing to do but bury Perry
