No, this wasn't Montezuma

Or the shores of Tripoli

This happened on the subway

Right here in NYC

You see, there was a homeless man

His name, Jordan Neely

He was ranting, he was raving

Behaving irrationally 

Another man was watching him

Watching him closely

This man might have been thinking

'Yo! Don't screw with me!'

'My name is Daniel Penny and

I am an ex-Marine

I am one of the toughest guys

That you have ever seen!'

Not sure he was thinking that

Don't take it from me

Here's the thing we must find out 

Did he felt threatened, see?

Did he think the other passengers 

Were threatened by Neely?

I know Marines are trained to kiil
