I know of a place,
A place of broken dreams and shattered hopes.
I do not have to look far to find this place,
For it is mine, it is my place.
It simmers and bubbles,
Unsatisfied and hungry it bites,
Alone and scared, it cries out in the night,
It waits fermenting, oblivious to its futile plight,
Of pain, destruction and ghastly sights,
In this place darkness reigns over light.
But alas this is my creation,
I built this place on broken dreams and shattered hopes.
Those dreams and hopes were mine now layed to rest,
I can not escape my past, yet i see not my future.
I am blinded by the light of happiness and eternal life,
Yet here i stand a quiverring wreck,
There is only me, exhausted and full of regret.
