Break Up Revelation: Part 1

Still, he could remember her touch,
Her smell,
The way her hair fell around her face.
She never let him down,
Never lied to him.
He could feel the power
As he ripped her heart
Straight out of her chest—
Watching her tears,
Behind a wall of stone.
Keeping his own emotions inside—
Holding on tight.
Losing grip,
She finally slips away.
No longer can he go on like this,
Playing her like a puppet.
Controlling her every move,
And with a simple twist of the thread—
She falls away,
Unraveling in the darkness.
Her eyes blind to what reality she sinks beneath.
He witnesses all that he has caused her,
And yet it does not matter to him.
He feels bad that he has hurt her,
And left her dead inside—
But he never DID love her.
