Standing silently,
As I hold my breath;
To hear what last words,
You may say.
I feel your waves of pain,
Flow through me.
I know of the heartache
Constricting your body.
I whisper my apologies,
As I slowly slip away.
Never in a life time
Did I think I’d tear you down;
But now you’re on the floor,
Sobbing;
Uncontrollably,
I feel your body convulsing.
I wish I could turn back;
To save you.
It’s already too late;
I’ve killed you.
