Wild scent of woodsmoke
apple laced,
With seductive drift
has morning placed.
Lazy warmth walks
down the day,
shows sun - soft shadings
where bronze leaves play.
Wine rich fruits
fall heavy now,
along the brightly
berried bough.
Although this day's
still summer kissed,
nature pens her
autumn list.
