So there you were with your eyes open wide

Walking away

As I knelt down and cried

And there I was waiting again

I canceled my plans

So all I had to do was sit with my head in my hands

There I was waiting all night

There I was, but you were out of my sight

So there I was just about to give up

But as I turn around to walk away

There you are to pull me back

Just like a dog on a leash

But truthfully Im never at ease



When it comes to you

So here it is again



There’s always that feeling built up inside

Always that feeling

That unspoken word

Always that sound, of silence that’s heard

So here it is again on edge and disturbed

I reach out to you with open arms

In hope that you will give me something to hold on to

But I receive nothing but emptiness from you

And thats all I need at this point to show me what is true



Just like a dog on a leash

But truthfully I’m never at ease



When it comes to you

So here it is again

I’m not used to giving up in the end



Numb to the feeling

The hearts never healing

And the wounds never mend

when I face the thought of saying the end

The worst pain Id ever felt before

Watching you say nothing and walk out the door



So here it is again

Arising to the top

And I’m begging you to stop

Ive tried so many times to just walk away

But its not easy and it gets harder each day



Cuase theres always that tension

Those feelings that go unmentioned

Here it is again

My voice trying to say the end

Trying to heal the wounds inside that never mend

The leash has dropped out of your hand

So please understand

Im going to say goodbye

But my expectations from you are no longer high
