Can you hear
My heart thumping
Although broken
It keeps counting
Each heartbeat
My mind nears you.

It does a leap
And starts running
Can’t stop the
River
It’s source
Keeps flowing.

Only my fire
Dwindles far away
Feeds on dreams
Which wants its way.

I can’t help it
It wanders away
Roams till dusk
Stays in your way.
