feel like i'm climbing a mountain

but my destination is the bottom

all the wrongs i've been countin

heh, the blues, yah man i got 'em



she writes, saying i'm the one

but then she pushes me away

i guess we all like to have fun

but i'm the game being played



i guess all that i can say now

is you better start squeezing

hold me close, any day now

i've gone numb and i'm freezing



do you like to see me in pain

do you like to see me struggle in vain

do you like to drive me insane

i do love you all the same



but i won't be here for long

if i'm not what you crave

i feel like i don't belong

just another boy along the way



won't you please tell me dear

won't you let me know

what are you looking for here

do you want us to grow



seems like time is on your side

and on the sidelines i spend my time

when your high, i'm a low tide

when your gone, your on my mind



but do you really want me so bad

does it hurt inside to think of me gone

i'd drop everything that i have

but it doesn't mean i can right the wrong
