Viva the eggheads who’ve made our world great
They invented alarms so we wouldn’t be late
They’ve cured disease and put us in space
With all their research in the egg and spoon race
We’ve egged them all on with desire for more
And it’s them who we turn to in peril and war
In the Second World War they worked with aplomb
And gave us the wonderful atomic bomb
To wipe us all out with millions of deaths
Well you can’t make an omelette without breaking some eggs.
