My first and only encounter with him was serendipitous . . . .
The contact was brief, softly succinct never to meet again.
Though the encounter was powerfully spiritual in nature,
Neither moralized nor preached only shared experiences.
What seemed like hours was only minutes of conversation.
Though strangers upon meeting, we spoke as lifelong friends
Both parting the experience immensely emotionally satisfied . . . .
My next rendezvous with him a few months later at his funeral.
