This may be unpopular, but I think
a lot of people stay in relationships
for the wrong reason
Not because they're happy
Not because they're growing together
But they're afraid of being
the one who leaves
We've romanticizied suffering
We call it loyalty. We call it commitment.
We call it fighting for love.
But at what point does loyalty.
become self-destruction?
Why do people praise someone for
staying in a relationship that drains them...
Yet judge someone who finally chooses peace?
I used to think leaving meant
I didn't love you enough.
Now I wonder if staying too long meant
I didn't love myself enough
Maybe I'm wrong.
Maybe real love means never giving up:
Or maybe real love means knowing
when the story is over.
What do you think?
